Floating is the practice of lying in a pod the size of a queen bed filled with ten inches of warm water and over a thousand pounds of Epsom salt, typically for one hour. Floating compresses the recovery time from strenuous physical exercise from a few days to a few hours as the tank minimizes the effects of gravity giving the sensation of weightlessness relieving gravitational pressures on the body to temporarily alleviate soreness. Floating increases blood flow circulation throughout the body and sweeps away toxins that are released from muscles during a workout, massage, or chiropractic session leading to a quicker recovery. The release of muscle tension and spinal decompression soothes and effectively relieves chronic pain.
